Franco joins the CTF after working as an economic policy analyst with the Calgary Chamber of Commerce and as a fellow with the Canadian Constitution Foundation.

Noah joins the Canadian Taxpayers Federation after coming from the world of journalism where he covered a wide range of stories and held politicians at all levels of government to account.

Devin Drover joined the CTF as the Atlantic Director and General Counsel in 2024 after working for five years in private legal practice representing clients in legal actions against municipal, provincial and federal governments.

Gage took over as the Prairie Director for the Canadian Taxpayers Federation in 2022, but he had already been a part of the organization for years.

Born in small town British Columbia, Sims has been employed (and taxed) since she was 12 years old, working in horse stables, fast food joints and gas stations before attending journalism school at BCIT.

Digital strategy consultant, residential painting contractor, co-founder and former administrator of the Canada Strong and Proud network: Nicolas has come a long way, but his adventure at the CTF began in 2017, as soon as he got involved with Generation Screwed!

Scott Hennig has dedicated his career to the Canadian Taxpayers Federation, rising through its ranks to become President and CEO. But Scott started his journey with the CTF as a donor. While he was studying economics at the University of Alberta, he came across CTF research and started donating to the organization to get The Taxpayer magazine.

Melanie grew up in Flin Flon, Manitoba then moved to Winnipeg to attend Robertson College where she earned a diploma in Office Administration.

Todd joined the Canadian Taxpayers Federation in 2015 with a background spanning newspaper reporting, government communications and pouring concrete.

Shannon Morrison, born and raised in Regina, has worked at the Canadian Taxpayers Federation in the administration office since 1997. She serves as Vice President of Operations. Shannon started out in reception at the CTF and through her love of the CTF and its goals worked her way to her current position.

Leam joined the Canadian Taxpayers Federation in 2023 after a stint working in electoral politics. He studied at the University of Calgary, earning two bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Communications and Media Studies.

Jeff joined the Canadian Taxpayers Federation in 2014 as the Research Director, later becoming Senior Director, Digital

Ethan Fisher joined the Canadian Taxpayers Federation as Communications Coordinator after years of being involved with the CTF and its youth movement,
Generation Screwed.

Brenda, is originally from Bolivia, started working for the Canadian Taxpayers Federation in 2018.

Jen joined the Canadian Taxpayers Federation in August of 2025 with a background in political journalism and teaching advanced placement high school classes in Psychology and Literature.

Firoz Lakhani is a data and AI professional with a background in Computer Science and Business Analytics.

Simon joined the CTF in 2026 and has been working on holding government to account out of the CTF’s Ottawa office.

Chris Gardner is the CEO and President of the Independent Contractors and Businesses Association (“ICBA”) and has led the organization since 2017. ICBA started in 1975, fifty years later, ICBA has grown in BC, expanded into Alberta, and is now the largest construction association in Canada and one of the largest business organizations in the country, with more than 4,500 members and clients.

Blaine Higgs was born in Woodstock, New Brunswick. He graduated from the University of New Brunswick with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. In 1993, he completed the Executive Management Training Program at Queen’s University. He also has taken courses in Financial Acumen and Leadership and Influence at Babson Executive Training and Education.

Sunira is a litigator and partner at Levitt LLP. She practices employment law and represents both employer and employees with respect to wrongful terminations, executive compensation issues, constructive dismissals, partnership disputes and human rights issues.

Highly involved in volunteerism, Ken is former president of both the Regina Symphony Orchestra (RSO), and Regina’s Globe Theatre. Ken was also on the board of the World Taxpayers Association.

Joe is a supply chain and logistics senior leader with over 25 years of experience. Raised in Saskatchewan, he moved to Alberta after university to begin a career in strategic analysis and the effective implementation of continual improvement initiatives in the private sector. He currently specializes in enhancing communication within large teams and on developing fiscally responsible leaders.

Drawing from his almost three decades in the public spotlight – as a Member of Provincial Parliament, Leader of the Progressive Conservative Party of Ontario, CEO of the Ontario Real Estate Association (OREA) and media pundit – Tim helps organizations and individuals advance their leadership and public affairs goals.
